AHIMSA is directly translated as non-violence or non-harming. Ahimsa is non – violence to others and to yourself and applies to all thoughts, words and actions. It also has a broader meaning than simply non- violence; it refers to having compassion and love for all and everything. We can apply ahimsa to our personal practice by making sure we practice with compassion towards our body and have compassion in our thoughts. Today we focus on Ahimsa in our practice.
